Dumplings in my Artist Prompts

What can I say, it was in my grab bag of words to choose from. One of my favorite things is Dim Sum. How could I go wrong putting the word dumpling in my grab bag of likes and loves? However, a long time ago, I did a greeting card for my friend and although it’s not about a dumpling, it’s close. The artist word prompts were supposed to be: Dumplings, Ecru and Cartoon. Ok, I’m getting there. Standby…

Not Quite a Dumpling

Breaking My Own Rules

This was a greeting card made for a friend. We had a tradition of going to dim sum once a month. Not sure why I never sent it to him. It’s up for grabs if anyone needs an eggroll card. Not sure why anyone would want an eggroll card but let me know. ๐Ÿ™‚

Egg roll and Fortune Cookies
not for prime time

Thinking about the artist word prompts and seeing where I could go with them. The only dumpling I kept thinking about were Xiao long bao’s. They are soup dumplings with the soup on the inside of the dumpling! They can make a mess if not eaten the right way. Ordering some now, I’ll do a better drawing afterwards…promise!

Stay tuned for a worthwhile cartoon…hopefully better than the above drawing.

Well, I did say cartoons, right?

I’m going to try a few more of these. Kind of fun splashing a little watercolor around.

I had my fill of dim sum yesterday, yay!! Who doesn’t like a good dumpling?

These are great. Love the kitty grabbing a treat! I tried to leave a message on the cool dancing images. WordPress kept kicking me out. Hope this shows up.

Yes, I did see the other comment and agree, the shapes are dancing!!

I like the splash of watercolor. Maybe the egg roll would make a good greeting for the Chinese New Year? I love the three things challenge. You are a wonderful artist.
